I’ve just returned from a wet and green BC to a cold and white Manitoba and I am excited about the new year! The brochures for Summer 2008 have recently rolled off the printing press and that ink smell is just permeating my office! The theme for this year is Treasure Quest. The theme verse is found in Matthew 6:19-21 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Starting next week I’ll be out and about armed with the brochures for this summer and for the discipleship program, Eikona, that will be launching this coming Fall! I’ll be at Briercrest in Caronport, SK and then at Bethany in Hepburn, SK all next week. Following that I’ll be doing a day here and there at colleges in southern Manitoba, specifically Providence (Otterburne), CMU (Winnipeg), and SBC/SCHS (Steinbach). If you’re around on the weekend of Feb.1-3, make sure you drop by the BRBC booth at Mission Fest which will once again be at Grant Memorial Baptist Church. Hope to see you around in 2008!
